Nick Bryant picks up first mound win in 10-2 victory over Faith Lutheran

    (April 21, 2008) – Nick Bryant went seven strong innings and the Bengal offense pounded out 11 hits and 10 runs as Bonanza's baseball team upended Faith Lutheran Monday afternoon at Bonanza.

     Jordan Hanley and Tomo Delp both tripled and Bryant, Philip Navarro and Chasen Shreve all doubled in the non-league win, improving the Bengals' record to 12-12 on the season. Chris Antoku drove in two runs with a pair of hits while Bonanza's 1-5 spots in the order combined to finish the game 10-for-18.

     Shreve was 2-for-3, Delp was 2-for-3 while Bryant and Navarro added two hits apiece in the win. Bryant also got the complete game win, allowing just one earned run with five hits and two strikeouts. It was his first victory of the season.

     Bonanza returns to action Tuesday with a home match-up with league opponent Clark, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
